Somatic Energy Healing:
"Polarity Therapy" Training - Level 1
with Tree of Life Center, APTA-approved training program
facilitated by Janice Marie Durand
This Professional 225 hour training will take place LIVE in an outdoor pavilion one to three days per month. (Fri.- Sat. or occasionally Fri. - Sun.) There will be a follow-up zoom online class 3 hrs per month as well to be determined by the group.
We will have a variety of Covid-safe protocols in place due to our close-up table work
This professional Somatic Energy Healing training is based in Polarity Therapy and the spirit of its founder, Dr. Randolf Stone (1890-1981). Polarity Therapy is steeped in the wisdom of ancient Ayurvedic, Chinese, Hermetic, Chiropractic, Naturopathic, and Osteopathic healing systems. This unique and comprehensive holistic wellness paradigm balances the body's energy field by combining gentle energetic touch, self-care through energy exercises, and self-awareness of lifestyle choices that support wellness. All of these approaches acknowledge health beyond just the physical realm and understand energy as preceding form.
Through this study of Energy Healing you will learn practical and simple tools and
effective, elegant techniques to re-establish the flow, balance, and ease of the human Electromagnetic Energy field. Woven into this training are various embodied perspectives’ to work with trauma and the nervous system with the intention of inviting wholeness and integration of life’s experiences. Janice Marie Durand will facilitate this training from her synthesis of over 25 years of study and practice of various Somatic Healing modalities.
The biggest thread throughout this transformational training is discovering and uncovering the Intelligence and Health already present within our systems. We will “court” and feed this innately wise part of us that sometimes gets covered over by lifeʼs experiences. Practitioner skills will foster working with clients in a clear, spacious, and neutral style as well as from a place of ease & effortlessness. Your sensitive listening skills and intuition will deepen throughout this potent journey. We will also learn to track and translate life experiences into the Elemental language of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. Each has gifts and imbalances that manifest in body, mind spirit, and emotions.
Of vital importance in all of our training programs here at Tree of Life Center is to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that fosters personal growth while learning therapeutic skills to support another in their healing journey. Our educational model incorporates a diversity of kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learning styles to support students in how they learn best, and students are encouraged to find their unique pace and connect with tangible resources to bring more regulation to their own nervous system throughout the learning journey. Through this program, we work to support students in developing a deeply embodied understanding of Polarity Therapy.

Prerequisites:
Introduction to Polarity Therapy with Tree of Life Center prior to starting the Somatic Energy Healing Program to make sure we are all a good fit for one another. TLC will offer the intro class again in Feb. & early March. Please contact Janice Marie to set up a time to do an intro with a small group or in a one-on-one tutorial if you are interested in this Somatic Energy Healing Polarity Therapy professional training and haven't done so yet.

CREDENTIALS:
When students fulfill all the completed program requirements they can apply for an Energy Principles Practitioner (EPP) Certificate with the International Polarity Education Alliance (IPEA) and can Register with the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA) as an Associate in Polarity Principles (APP) educational level-1. Academic hours in this training exceed the APTA's 155 hrs. All extra hours can apply toward the Registered in Polarity Principles RPP educational level-2 (total of 520 hours with 440 classroom hours).
The American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA) is our National Organization that sets the Standards for Education, Practice, and Teaching of this holistic modality. The International Polarity Education Alliance (IPEA) is another membership organization that provides many Polarity Therapy resources to it's members. Students enrolling in this program receive APTA Membership free for one year and lifetime membership to the IPEA.

Total Cost: $3,600

Total of 168 hours of classroom training combining Live on-site & Live zoom meetings.

21 days of Live on-site training - total of 147 classroom hours (7 hrs. per meeting day for 2-3 days per month)

7 meetings for 3 hours per month Live on Zoom - (21 classroom hours total spread out over the program.)

Bodywork Table - Students will need to practice 30-35 table work sessions outside of class and have access to a bodywork table for practice sessions with clients.
